The baseball team bounced back from a tough loss on Tuesday to St. Joe with a huge 3-1 victory in the 2nd game of the NIC series. The Lions jumped out to a 3 - 0 lead after 3 innings and held on with solid defense and great pitching from Brennan Whickar and Trevor Hilliard. Brennan threw 6 innings of 2 hit baseball and Trevor earned the save with a 1-2-3 7th. The boys are now 9-3 on the year and 6-2 in the NIC heading into a big NIC series with Penn next week. Offensive leaders Wednesday were: Quinn Rost with 2 hits and a run scored and Greg Guest with one hit and 2 RBI's. The Lions host Northridge and Chesterton in a varsity round robin starting at 10 AM this Saturday.
