The Lions played excellent defense to support strong pitching in a DH against Northridge and FW Northrop on Saturday. The bats were silent, however, and the girls lost 1-0 to Northridge and 4-2 to Northrop. The girls travel to Riley on Monday in an NIC game to be hosted on the Riley campus field. We host Concord on Tuesday. On Saturday, Escobedo and Topolski led the Lions with 2 hits apiece against Northridge and Laci Stimac gave up 1 run in a complete game. In game 2 against Northrop, Anna Knight pitched for the Lions while Escobedo, Harris-Rogers, and Walker led the offense with 2 hits apiece. Harris Rogers and Stimac accounted for the team's RBI's.
