The baseball team split two games on Saturday, defeating Northridge 9-5, but falling 0-10 to Chesterton. In game 1, the Lions overcame a 3 run deficit by pounding out 15 hits. Max Shreiner led the offense with 4 hits and 3 RBI's while Carson Pollard had the biggest hit of the game, a grand slam in the 4th to give the Lions the lead. Brodey Weaver pitched 5 innings with only one earned run to get the pitching victory, while Brennan Whickar threw 2 innings of 1 hit relief, recording 5 KO's. In game 2 against Chesterton, the LIons struggled falling in 5 innings while only getting one hit apiece from Schoetzow and Compton. The team is back in action Monday at Adams.
